Greetings! My name is Aimee Chase, longtime photographer and proud owner of Domna Lucina Photography. Domna Lucina is taken from Latin: Domna means mistress or lady, Lucina is she who brings things forth into the light, often in reference to midwifery. This seemed most appropriate in relation to my work: these images made from light have now been brought into the light so to speak: shown here and elsewhere for all to enjoy. A little background: I come from New England (Rhode Island and Vermont) and for the last 11 years have lived and worked in Seattle, WA. Though my recent work is mostly digital, I have had many years experience shooting color, black and white, and infrared film. My professional experience includes several years work at Vivid Color Photo Lab in Winooski, VT. Recently I have shown photos at the Fremont Sunday Market and the Highland Park Sunday Market.
